This method can be effective, but there are two downsides.  The first is that the cellulite treatment is not permanent (you will have to continue applying anti cellulite lotion to your skin or your results will not last).  The second is that you are really only improving the top layer of your skin, and the appearance of cellulite is caused by your lower layers of skin as well.  This is why it is important to attack your cellulite using a number of different methods (i.e. – combining the cellulite cream with a diet and cellulite exercises).

So we know that there are cellulite creams that can temporarily improve the condition of cellulite on the skin.  However, there are literally hundreds of lotions, creams, and potions that claim that they will eliminate 100% of your cellulite forever!  Is this true for all of them?  Most likely not!  However, there are obviously some that work better than others.  What are some good ways to figure out which ones are better before spending any money?

The first method is to look on the ingredients and see if most of the ingredients in the lotion are natural.  Good cellulite lotions are composed of antioxidants, natural herbs, vitamins, and minerals, all of which help in cellulite reduction.  These are powerful ingredients that help stimulate and renew the skin.  Also look for a powerful stimulant, such as caffeine, seaweed, or green tea, which is very important because it will help reduce the amount of cellulite visible on your skin quickly.  Retinol-A (the purest form of Vitamin A) is another powerful ingredient to look for in the ingredients.  This vitamin helps improve the overall texture and condition of the skin, giving it a more radiant and healthy look.

* Look for powerful stimulants in the ingredients, such as caffeine, seaweed, or green tea.

It is also important to remember that while a cellulite lotion may be effective because of the ingredients inside, another reason that it is effective is because of the massaging of the skin that goes with the application.  The physical action of rubbing these lotions into the skin is helping with circulation, which in turn improves the condition.  While there is not any overwhelming scientific evidence to confirm that lotions work because of the ingredients or because of the massaging that goes with the application, consumer reports show that the application of specialized creams applied in a massaging form can be effective in cellulite removal.

NOTE:  Be wary of any product that claims it can eliminate fat purely through topical application.  Either the company is trying to scam you by promising on results it can’t achieve, or it is unhealthy and dangerous in some way.  I would at least request more specific information before ordering any cellulite firming lotion.
